Sunrich Naturals invites trade show attendees to sunrise class outdoors in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor
Hope, MN – (Aug. 24, 2011) – What better way to welcome the first day of autumn in Baltimore than with a sunrise yoga class on the waterfront?
Sunrich Naturals, makers of SōL Refreshing Sunflower Beverage, has partnered with Charm City Yoga and the Waterfront Partnership to showcase the beauty of the city, healthy living, and their delicious new sunflower beverage during the Natural Products Industry Expo East trade show.
The yoga class, which is open to all Expo East attendees, will take place in the Inner Harbor’s West Shore Park at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, September 23rd. The trade show will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center on September 22 – 24, 2011.
“We’re very excited to introduce SōL to the natural products industry at Expo East,” said Tina Nelson, vice president of Sales & Marketing, Consumer Products, SunOpta Grains & Foods Group and parent company of Sunrich Naturals. “SōL, like yoga, is something that can be enjoyed daily as part of a healthy lifestyle. We wanted to create a memorable way for Expo East attendees to experience SōL and take advantage of Baltimore’s spectacular waterfront. This sunrise yoga session and the SōL smoothies we’ll enjoy afterward will help us get calm, centered and ready for a productive day of business at the show.”
To participate in the free yoga class, Expo East attendees are encouraged to stop by the SunOpta booth, number 1808, on Thursday, September 22nd to sign up for the class, collect their free entry voucher, and enjoy a sample of a delicious SōL berry smoothie. Yoga mats will be provided to the first sixty registrants upon arrival and check in at West Shore Park, but attendees who have their own mats and accessories are welcome to bring them.
SōL Refreshing Sunflower Beverage is a nutritional powerhouse and a standout addition to the hot functional beverage category.
An eight ounce serving of SōL delivers a whopping 50% of the recommended daily allowance for Vitamin E, 60% for Phosphorus, 30% for Calcium, 25% for Vitamin D, and 20% for Folic Acid.
Enjoying SōL in a smoothie or on cereal for breakfast and having another glass with a meal or after a workout will cover an adult’s entire daily Vitamin E and phosphorus requirements.
Numerous studies have cited Vitamin E’s significant anti-inflammatory effects, which reduce symptoms of asthma, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other conditions aggravated by the presence of free radicals and inflammation. Recent research published in the Archives of Neurology reported that sufficient intake of Vitamin E reduces the likelihood of developing dementia and, coupled with Vitamin D, slows down cognitive decline in older adults.
In addition to SōL’s great nutritional profile, the sunflower beverage meets the burgeoning demand for new products that are free of food allergens such as dairy, soy, tree nuts, and gluten. Allergy-friendly SōL works great in place of dairy or nut milk in recipes, too.
SōL is available in three delicious flavors – Unsweetened, Original, and Vanilla – in shelf stable, aseptic 32 ounce Tetra Pak containers. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $2.69 for 32 ounces.
