Recipe: Spiced Tea Latte

Here’s a simple-to-prepare and very healthy beverage recipe that is rich in blended flavors. This one is perfect as a thirst quencher for the hot summer weather that’s coming.


  • 2 tea bags, black or green
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon of allspice*
  • 1 cup of cold water
  • 1 cup of SoL Sunflower Beverage, Original flavor
  • 2 tablespoons of honey

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes (2 hours if serving cold)

Serves: 1 – 2


Place tea bags and spices in an automatic coffee maker, add one cup of cold water and brew according to manufacturer instructions.

While the tea is brewing, heat the SoL and honey in a saucepan until hot.  Combine the tea and Sol and serve hot, or refrigerate and drink cold.  Sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg on top before serving.

If you don’t have a coffee maker, simply place your tea bags (or loose-leaf tea) and spices in a tea strainer, or a coffee filter tied with cooking twine.  Brew according to tea leaf instructions.

* Allspice is a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves
